Bourbon-Glazed Baby Back Ribs
Fall-off-the-bone tender baby back ribs with a sticky bourbon-brown sugar glaze. The reader-favorite from Most Wanted BBQ Recipes.

Ingredients
- •2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)
- •3 tbsp brown sugar
- •2 tbsp smoked paprika
- •1 tbsp kosher salt
- •2 tsp garlic powder
- •2 tsp onion powder
- •1 tsp black pepper
- •1 tsp cayenne (optional)
- •1 cup ketchup
- •1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- •1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- •1/4 cup molasses
- •2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- •2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Remove the silver membrane from the back of each rack.

Combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and cayenne. Rub all over the ribs.

Wrap each rack tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake 2.5 hours, until tender.

Meanwhile, simmer ketchup, bourbon, vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire, and mustard in a saucepan over medium-low heat for 20 minutes until thickened.

Unwrap ribs, brush generously with glaze, and grill over medium-high heat (or broil) for 5–7 minutes per side, glazing every 2 minutes, until lacquered and charred at the edges.

Rest 10 minutes, slice between bones, and serve with extra glaze.
Cook's tips
- → Low and slow in the oven is the secret to fall-apart texture — don't rush it.
- → Reduce the bourbon glaze until it coats the back of a spoon for the stickiest finish.
