Ingredients
- •2 cups all-purpose flour
- •2 cups sugar
- •3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- •2 tsp baking soda
- •1 tsp baking powder
- •1 tsp salt
- •1 cup buttermilk
- •1/2 cup vegetable oil
- •2 large eggs
- •2 tsp vanilla extract
- •1 cup hot strong coffee
- •For ganache: 2 cups heavy cream, 16 oz dark chocolate (chopped), 2 tbsp butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line three 8-inch round pans.

Whisk dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla; beat 2 minutes. Stir in hot coffee — batter will be thin.

Divide between pans. Bake 30–35 minutes until a tester comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.

Make ganache: heat cream to a bare simmer, pour over chopped chocolate, let sit 3 minutes, whisk smooth, stir in butter. Cool until spreadable.

Stack layers with ganache between each. Cover top and sides, smoothing with an offset spatula.

Chill 20 minutes to set before slicing.
